Family 404 was created during a period of uncertainty and absence within our family. The site began as a way to process experiences, connect with a community, and document a challenging time.

The site remains online as a record of that period and as a resource for others navigating ambiguous loss, separation, or prolonged absence from loved ones. It is intended as a place of reflection and solidarity, rather than explanation or advocacy.
